Just Eat - Takeaway delivery Review

Get App

Just Eat is a food delivery app for Android and iOS. It offers more than 100,000 restaurants in total and has more than 5,000,000 downloads on Google Play with an average rating of 4.6.

Interface: Orange Backgrounds Are Confusing

The user interface, in general, is pretty good. The restaurants are structured well and split by different categories. The features are available in a few taps each, the app has four main sections to speed up the navigation, which are: restaurants, the “for you” section, orders and settings. The only imperfect design solution is the background color for icons. The categories of restaurants are presented with photos of meals on an orange background, which does not look very attractive. The rest of the app is good visually, the backgrounds are bright and the captions are recognizable.

Features: Delivery and More

The main feature of this app is the takeaway delivery from hundreds of local restaurants. Each delivery has a fixed time, and Just Eat offers vouchers and discounts if the courier does not arrive on time. In the app, you can also sort, filter and search for restaurants, read the user reviews and pre-order food in non-operating hours of a specific restaurant. There are several payment methods available, including credit or debit cards, cash or Apple Pay.

Usability: Just Eat It

The usability of Just Eat is good, the interface is very intuitive and helpful to new users. Most people won’t face any problems with finding a restaurant and making an order, as it is much easier than downloading dozens of restaurant apps, remembering their websites and phone numbers.

Compatibility: Highly Compatible

The app of Just Eat is one of the most compatible in this category. It requires only iOS 11 or later and Android 5.0 and higher to run on Apple and Android devices, respectively. The app takes only 150 MB of free space and is pretty smooth and powerful.

Conclusion: Great App, Average Service 4/5

The app is great, but the service of Just Eat is pretty average. They work as an intermediary between the restaurant and the client and sometimes don’t manage to resolve conflicts properly, which usually happens in large companies.

Highly rated for:

  • Variety of restaurants available;
  • Good user interface, allowing to navigate quickly;
  • Great compatibility and performance.

  • Food & Drink
